Ahh, that was my fave part too! Kim and I were just hoping that Alanis would come out as well. I also loved Taylor singing with Stevie Nicks. I thought of the many times we've watched awards shows together and wished we could have seen that one together as I knew you'd be so excited about Beyonce/You Oughta Know!
i was sad about t-swizzle's performance! i think the whole thing made her so old. and what was with all the arm swinging - it looked like she was going to knock Stevie Nicks out!
also, i wish celine got more into it. when she starts thumping her chest in her songs, it is one of my ultimate faves!
The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest - Stieg Larsson (This was a satisfying conclusion to the triology. I've heard they are making a Hollywood movie out of these books. I hope Brad Pitt plays Michael and Natalie Portman plays Lisbeth)
Somewhere Inside -Laura and Lisa Ling (I was mildly obsessed about this international story when it happened. This is a fascinating read into the depths of North Korean politics)
Carrie Diaries - Candace Bushnell (Fast Fast Read but I love the Carrie Bradshaw character and it is neat to find out how she met Samatha Jones)
The Girl who Played with Fire - Stieg Larsson (He nailed by focusing on Lisbeth Salander - I want to be her friend but she would think I'm a nerd)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson (I read this to see what the hype was all about. I get it, it was really entertaining and hard to put down)
Committed - Elizabeth Gilbert (I recommend this book to those who loved "Eat, Pray, Love" and are interested in a really in-depth look at marriage. Not for everyone but I like her style)
A Reliable Wife - Robert Goolrick (This book will be made into a movie for sure. When reading, you can see the movie in your mind. My ideal cast: Truitt - Colin Firth, Catherine - Kate Winslet, Antonio - Robert Pattinson, Emelia - Penelope Cruz)
The Year of the Flood - Margaret Atwood (Probably easier if you read "Oryx and Crake" first - which I didn't. Beautiful Writer)
19th Wife - David Ebershoff (Two Stories Woven Together - One of Brigham Young's Rise to Power, the other a modern day mystery)
Case Histories - Kate Atkinson (Fun, Well Written Mystery)
The Outcast - Sadie Jones (Must Read - I LOVED IT)

haha, yes for sure. it was a strangely subdued performance by celine. i just wanted her to break out into one of her classics.
