Day Eighty-Nine: March 30th

I went to see this movie with Ash today (mid-day while all the suckers were at work!). It was pretty intense to say the least. Nonetheless, it is set in Toronto and featured prominently. Cafe Diplomatico should count its lucky stars - it gets majorly called out!

Day Eighty-Eight: March 29th

I started my first day of a vacation week. I could get use to this!

Day Eighty-Seven: March 28th

We left Bogey for this first time in 48 hours to go to the Austin's. They are such a great couple and it is such fun going over to there house.

Day Eighty-Six: March 27th

Bogey got to meet some friends today - she is going to be very spoiled and well loved. Yo Bogs - I don't have a pair of Marc Jacobs anything - how did you score!?

Day Eighty-Five: March 26th

It's always been a lifelong dream to own a dog - today this dream came true! Welcome Bogey - I heart you forever!

Day Eighty-Four: March 25th

I went to The Keg to celebrate Johnny's bday. I hadn't been in awhile and forgot how good the food is. I was super happy to be sitting beside a dining Brian Gluckstein. All celeb, from the z-list to the A, I love.

Day Eighty-Three: March 24th

It was a BBQ type of day - perfect weather. So I guess the groundhogs got it wrong - weren't we suppose to have an epically long winter? Maybe we should retire the tradition and let the groundhogs chill.

Day Eighty-Two: March 23rd

Bogey is going to be set-up in style! These are the times when working at CT really pay off - free samples - yes!

Day Eighty-One : March 22nd

I'm fending for myself this week as Sloggett is busy in focus groups. I made this casserole type thing for dinner - it smelt good but tasted off. Why does dinner always taste better when someone makes if for you?!

Day Eighty: March 21st

I pretty much moped around all day. The reality that I wasn't able to take the puppy home with me and the fact that I had to go to work on Monday set-in. The fact that I was not feeling super hot after Saturday night's festivities (a night out for Geoff's 30th) led to not much productive thinking. The Obama health care bill was passed however - super exciting. I tried to watch some of the coverage and could not understand a bit of it. I hate when voting "Nay" actually means you are voting for something.

Day Seventy-Nine: March 20th

We went to the Breeders in Bobcaygeon today. It went really well and we are set to pick up this little lovely next weekend! It was the best afternoon, 2 sets of litters to play with and see. You've never seen anything cuter. I'm in puppy love...I love her so much.

Day Seventy-Eight: March 19th

I hung out with my dear friend Ashy this evening. We did what we do best, drink Diet Coke and watch cheesy tv shows and movies. I introduced Ash to "16 and Pregnant" - life as she knows it has changed. Have you ever watched the show? It is jaw-dropping.

Day Seventy-Seven: March 18th

I went to see this movie with some work friends. I really enjoyed it but felt really wonky after (I was in such a daze, after the movie, I was in the subway zoned out and missed getting off at the right stop). The real standout's were the girl who played Alice and the terrific Queen of Hearts. Unlike Avatar, the 3-Dness of the movie didn't really add to the overall story - it sort of felt like an afterthought. Living in Tim Burton's world must be a complete trip.

Day Seventy-Six: March 17th

St.Patty's Day. I love that I could leave at 3:30 to head to bar with my co-workers, none of whom are Irish. Funny holiday - should be a monthly thing!!

Day Seventy-Five: March 16th

Today was a long day. I went to several PartSource, CT stores, and competitors stores for work. 7 co-workers in a Mini-Van for 9 hours got a bit tired after awhile. Nonetheless, interesting experience. CT stores are not well represented in downtown Toronto - you really have to go outside the city to see the standouts. A big recommendation is the large Welland CT store - it is a masterpiece.
At night, I went to my 2nd hockey game ever to support Scott Sloggett (not a good record considering he has played every week for the past 5 years). Secretly, I went to hang out with Robbie. Scott won! Yes - good luck charm!

Day Seventy-Four: March 15th

I had to organize a pretty-important conference call today. It is challenging managing people at different levels and get them all on the phone (particularly when your VP is a Mean Girl). Anyway, success!

Day Seventy-Three: March 14th

The weather the entire weekend was miserable. Nothing cures a gross day outside than a movie day inside. I really liked the movie "Couples Retreat". Not super smart and pretty predictable but I thought it was funny. I tried to watch "District Nine" but I could not keep my eyes open for it. What happens at the end!?

Day Seventy-Two: Mar 13th

With Mom under the weather, Scott, Dad and I went to lunch downtown and then the Hockey Hall of Fame. It is neat to see how much stuff they have in the building. Nothing more special than the Stanley Cup! So neat to touch it.

We got home and Mom was back to feeling better. Mrs.Sloggett came over for dinner - nice evening!

Day Seventy-One: March 12

My parents arrived! Here is my mom really getting into a festive spirit! Loved having them...so much fun.

Day Seventy: March 11th

I did a big grocery shop for the weekend. I love Loblaws but I doubly love Loblaws Superstores. I find if super fun to walk through all the aisles and then go to the Joe Fresh section. They've got it all.

Day Sixty-Nine: Mar 10th

We made a design change on the main floor. The big ball is back!

Day Sixty-Eight: March 9th

I went out with my good friends LP and Newts after work. We went to a place I like a lot called "The Auld Spot Pub" on the Danforth. The atmosphere is really nice and the food is good and unique (ex. I had a calamari sandwich). Love LP and Newts - great girls.

Day Sixty-Seven: Mar 8th

Scott and I went to IKEA afterwork. Our guest room will be used for the first time this weekend (honoured guests - my parents) and we want it to look amazing. We got two of these side tables, as well as a shoe/coat organization system for the front hall. Scott Sloggett definitely has a blue collar streak in him and really got to embrace it last night. He loves making things - he gets so happy sounded in allan keys, bolts and little hammers.

Day Sixty-Six: March 7th

Blair, Denise and I headed back on the 401 (thanks again for the ride). Scotty was waiting at home and it was so nice to be reunited with my little lobster. We watched the entire Oscar telecast which I thought was really fun.
James Cameron must have had a rough night. Took 13 years to make a film (which I think is a game-changer and ends up being the biggest grossing film of all time) all to end up losing the huge awards to his EX-WIFE. Imagine how good that must of felt for Kathryn? Amazing.....good for her for being a pioneer woman in Hollywood (and being able to rub it in his face a little).

Day Sixty-Five: March 6th

My Grammie is the Queen of our family. She is literally the person I measure everyone against in terms of judging how nice they are as she is the kindest, nicest person I've ever met. We celebrated her 90th birthday today. My parents and my uncle and aunt did an amazing job at hosting the event and made sure to include all my Grammie's favs (which you can imagine are numerous because you meet her once, love her forever). To many, many, many more years Grammie - xoxo!

Day Sixty-Four: March 5th

Blair, Denise and I travelled up to Ottawa today (thanks for the drive guys). We all went to dinner at a favourite local place called "The Prescott". The Prescott has a long history in Ottawa is famous for their Meatball sandwiches. Our waiter had definitely been around the block and could pick out the "Meatball Virgins" in the crowd. The sandwich was interesting....very meaty. Definitely a funny family outing!

Day Sixty-Three: Mar 4th

Since I'm taking tomorrow off and heading to Ottawa for a long week, I spent much of my Thursday cleaning up my work and home life. Not the most fun - but definitely satisfying!

Day Sixty-Two: Mar 3rd

Heeeeeeeeeeere's Stephen! They are back. Let's not let the worst PM in Canada's history get away with his cowardly moves. I've read that he is going to ride the wave of the Olympic pride to his advantage - don't let him! Let's not forget ALL the issues he left "prorogued". I'll tell you what - let Stephen Harper's kids join the military and we'll prorogue decisions about their future until we feel like it. He is the worst, the absolute pits.

Day Sixty-One: Mar 2nd

I'm still trying to embrace my new neighbourhood, so I walked over to the mall 2 blocks from my house to check it out. My area is very diverse, million dollar homes mixed with low-income housing and the mall definitely reflects that dichotomy.
Anyway, I needed shoes to complete my Saturday outfit and went to Winners to check out their assortment. I typically hate Winners - the mess stresses me out and I hate how the right sizes are never where they are suppose to be. That being said, I found a pair of size 7 1/2 wedge heels (I'm obsessed with wedges - girls, you can wear high high heels and be so comfortable) in the size 4 section and I can't describe the thrill I got.
I finally understand Winners - the thrill of the hunt. We are all just little animals.

Day Sixty: Mar 1st

Scott left for Mexico City this morning for a week. Adios Scotty - don't come back with any José Sloggétt's!

Day Fifty-Nine: Feb 28th

Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow.
We watched the game at Matt and Jen's house. Their little girl, Quinn, is obessed with O'Canada and sang it throughout the game. Thank goodness we got to sing it for real after the game - otherwise, it would have just been really depressing. Sidney - thanks for not letting down the cutest 2-year old in Toronto (along with the rest of Canada)!
