I'm not sure if it shows anything about me that my two favourite shows have been on for like 10 years each and haven't changed much (American Idol and Survivor) but I still loooove them.

Day Twenty-Six: Jan 26th

This store is literally a 1/2 block down the street from my house and I walk by everyday and smile. It is one half pet grooming and one half anime collectables. one stop shop for a pretty odd person.

I am really into this book right now....in fact, most mornings, i wish my commute was longer so i could read more of it. My dear friend, Amanda O, recommended it. Anyone who likes really well written mysteries (Amanda P - I'm talking to you!) should read this!!

Day Twenty: Jan 20th

this just transpired at work in front of a hushed group of 5-6 people:

co-worker looks inquisitively at me and says: "Lesley, you have pen on your face, on your cheek"

group all stares to look at where she is pointing.

Lesley: "no, actually that is just a pimple"

awkward laughter from the gathered crowd.

PERFECT!

Day Nineteen: Jan 19th

I'm back to being a commuter. As much as this might change over time, I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the TTC today. I didn't have to wait long at all and there were no delays. The TTC has a bad reputation in this city, probably deserved. It is sort of mind boggling to follow the local politics about the TTC - nothing is more debated but seemingly nothing gets done to change it. OC Transpo is something to be proud of Ottawaians!

You know the song "If I had a Million Dollars" by Canadian Superstars, the Barenaked Ladies? Well, if I had a million dollars, I would go to the Elmwood Spa everyday. Bliss

Really thought provoking movie....it is amazing what we put troops through. I wish our goverment was around to address these issues...sadly, they are probably golfing.
