Day One Hundred and Eighteen: April 28th

In my bid to save as much money as possible (and my desire to grow my hair long) I haven't been to my faithful hair dresser since the fall. A well known secret is the fact that if I didn't dye my hair, I would be complete grey. Like completely.
I bought what I thought was the colour of my hair but oops! it came out quite dark. Hello brunette-hood, I'm back!

Day One Hundred and Seventeen: April 27th

So I'm sitting at my desk, working away like a little beaver, when my Senior Vice President comes marching up to my cubicle and says "I'm going to embarrass the hell out of you". I started scanning my brain as to what on Earth I could have done to deserve this. He proceeds to round up everyone around me and launches into this speech about my years of service, how far I've come, etc. I was being awarded for my 5-year anniversary with CT! Nothing like an old fashioned public embarrassment to make you feel special!

Day One Hundred and Sixteen: April 26th

Cutest puppy in the world! If she could only stop being such a pain........

Day One Hundred and Fifteen: April 25th

Bogey woke up at her typical 6:30am start-time. I took her out to our back yard and it was obviously super quiet because only crazy people wake up this early on a Sunday. Needless to say, while Bogo's did her thing, I snooped by looking through the fence at my neighbour's lawn. I was none to please at what I found.
When we first got Bogey, people bought her amazing gifts. Two of her favourites were these plastic things purchased by my Mom and Blair and Denise. Bogey loved them but they have been missing for weeks. I found them, obviously in use, in my neighbour's yard.
I was SO mad that stewed for about 4 hours until PetSmart opened and went and got Bogey some new stuff. You don't know what happens in dog's brains and I was feeling that she might be upset that her neighbour dog, Lexie, stole her stuff.
Among other things, I bought her a new Kong and got her the Stuffing for it. It is vile, picture Peanut Butter Cheez-Whiz. Hope you feel better Bogey with all your new stuff - I do!

Day One Hundred and Fourteen: April 24th

Scott and I really concentrated on outdoor lawn work today. We hired 1-800-Got-Junk to remove the Mt.Everest of dirt in our back yard, removed the hideous red bricks that the previous owners seemed to not get enough of, weeded and planted grass. Oddly, nothing looks very different...haha.
At night, we had probably the best dining experience I've ever had. We met up with Heather and Food RockStar Afrim for dinner at Chef Lynn's new restaurant - Ruby Watch Co. For those of you who do watch the Food Network, this restaurant is owned by Chef Lynn and the Restaurant Make-Over designer Cherie. It is a really cool concept, you have no choice in the menu, it is 4 course long, the food is presented family-style and only $50/person. Not a lot considering Chef Lynn is among the best chefs in North America. I know we got some pretty preferential treatment but I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Day One Hundred and Thirteen: April 23rd

After work, a group of us met up with one of the people who got laid off. He was in remarkably high spirits. We all had spirits for his high spirits!

Day One Hundred and Eleven: April 21st

A group of us went to see this movie. I found it really funny but obviously really dim. The Violator is the best character for sure.
Got word that my Grammie hurt herself - feel better Grammie! xoxo

Day One Hundred and Ten: April 20th

Bogey got her 2nd booster today. One more to go and she can be free from the backyard and actually get to go to parks and puppy school! She was so good..even the vet was impressed. Didn't even flinch with the shot. Best Dog in Canada! Champion Bogey.

Day One Hundred and Nine: April 19th

Bogey is chewing EVERYTHING so we got this spray that apparently will stop your dog from eating things because it is so awful.
Awful isn't the word for this stuff. After Scott sprayed it, we both were out on the deck literally dry heaving for 30 minutes. It is the most vile stuff in the world. Honestly, I think girls should carry this in their purses to ward off muggers - it has to be worse than pepper spray.
The funny thing is Bogs didn't seem to notice much - she continued her chomping!

Day One Hundred and Eight: April 18th

We left early-ish to go get Bogey who was staying with Mrs. Sloggett. She is getting so big - I hadn't realized it since I'm around her all the time.
I watched the Juno's which was super entertaining. Definitely the best part was the Waving Flag ending number. Love the love-in between Drake and Justin Beiber. So cute.

Day One Hundred and Seven: April 17th

Can't wait until summer!! I have a lot of goals in life but one of the top on my list is to own my own winterized cottage. I just feel so much more myself at a cottage.
In a lull in the afternoon, a group of us watched "My Date with...Justin Beiber". I'm actually now a huge fan. This kid is super sweet and funny - Beiber Fever!

Day One Hundred and Six: April 16th

At around 4pm our Senior VP called a meeting with all of us to discuss the changes that occured this week. He started the presentation by saying "So you've all experienced the first-round of cuts....oops, I shouldn't have said that, this what you get for not preparing your speech". PERFECT! What a way to kick-start the weekend!
After that demoralizing meeting, we headed up north to celebrate Andrew's 30th. He has a great cottage - super nice but also super comfy. We all partied hardy!

Day One Hundred and Five: April 15th

When we first bought the house the home inspection highlighted several areas of concern: the electrical seemed messed up, the furnace was on its last legs, and the water pressure was non-existent leading to suspicions that the pipes were blocked. Not great, not at all. We almost walked away to be honest. Anyways, after a lot of back and forth, we were able to have the electrical fixed and got the priced lowered on the house to afford a new furnace. The only outstanding issue has been the low water pressure.
Today, the last annoying house thing was checked off. The water pressure has been fixed and I feel reborn! I can not honestly believe the difference. Best day!

Day One Hundred and Four: April 14th

Another round of cuts at my office. So sad, so stressful. This is the second time I've been around this type of firing and it isn't fun. I'm grateful to still have my job but I'm sad for my friends. This one really took people by surprised as we were told that our restructuring would not lead to job insecurity. Fail!

Day One Hundred and Three: April 13th

Scott won his hockey league! Presently, there has only been one award winner in our household - me. Me and my family golf team won a pretty snazzy golf statue. I guess we will have to now share the bookcase (but really in our heart of hearts, the golf tournament is more prestigious ).

Day One-Hundred and Two: April 12th

I went to the Blue Jay's Home Opener today with the "I heart BJ's" group. This was my 3rd anniversary of this event - and arguably the most sluggish one of them all. The game didn't have a real electrifying feel to it. A lot of my own baseball team was there, hope it brings us luck!

Day One-Hundred and One: April 11th

I'm an old lady so I suffered big time from my Saturday night silliness. In between naps, I was able to catch a lot of the Master's. Loved that Phil Mickelson won and found his hug with his wife so touching. Compared to Tiger's jerky post-round interview (um, I'm sorry, but you aren't rehabing your image very well) Phil looks like Mr.Rogers.

Day One-Hundred: April 10th

Even though it is Saturday, my commitment to my job never ends. I went to work in a store this morning - crazy stressful day for this particular service bay. They had a huge government contract which meant that if you brought your car in, you would wait for 8 hours to get it back. No thank you!
After I got home, we had Mrs.Sloggett and Liz over for lunch. We also had our new couch delivered. The difference between our bottom of the line couch and this top of the line one is remarkable.
A group of us went and celebrated Rob D's bday @ the Harbourd House. You know it is a good night when you end up at China Town and roll in at 4am. Yikes.

Day Ninety-Nine: April 9th

I met up with Erin, Tina and Robin for dinner after work Saturday. It is SO funny getting together with this group. We laugh like it is 2003 all over again.

Day Ninety-Eight: April 8th

These are a few of my favourite things: Scotty, Baby Bogey, Jeff Probst, white blanket, moccasins, home.

Great night.

Day Ninety-Seven: April 7th

Lots of news today about my company's renewed focus on Automotive. Let me tell you, that my team definitely feels the spotlight of trying to make these soundbites an actual reality.

Day Ninety-Six: April 6th

Little Bogey had a tough day today. She really hates when it rains outside and does not want to spend a minute getting soaked. As you can imagine, this makes dog training pretty challenging. I knew I was losing it a bit, when I swore she was being spiteful towards me (I would take her outside for 15 minutes with no results, she would step inside and do her business - ugh!).

Day Ninety-Five: April 5th

I was sort of very depressed today. Going back to work, leaving my little pal for the first time, and saying goodbye to my cherished houseguests sort of made for a dreary day.

Day Ninety-Four: March 4th

Amanda P joined the party today. So good to see her and have her visit. We had Mrs.S over for a traditional Easter dinner. We made ham, which is an odd choice, because does anyone really love-love ham or sort of just tolerate it?

Day Ninety-Three: April 3rd

My good friend Steph got married! Doesn't she look like a million bucks?

Day Ninety-Two: April 2nd

Scott, Darren, Adrian and I met at Caplansky's so Darren could experience Adrian's workplace. After, Darren, Adrian and I spent the afternoon at Ronnie's in the market. Want to see hipsters? Go here. They have Mill Street's Tea and Lemon beer - sounds weird but from a non-beer lover perspective, it is really good. I see it being a big hit around Summer time.

We met up with Blair and Denise for dinner on the Danforth - trying out Pappas Grill. Great Greek food - funny night!

Day Ninety-One: April 1st

Happy Birthday Mommy! xoxo

Darren and I went to Allen's for lunch. Nothing quite beats sitting on a patio at noon on a beautiful sunny day, having a beverage, while the world works. After lunch, we went back to the house and Adrian came over. I had to scoot out to go to the Sample Sale (got a bunch of junk but managed to score a Buddha head) but came back and had a bunch of people over for some long weekend fun. My little Bogey was the hit of the party - obv.

Day Ninety: March 31st

Darren arrived via Porter Airlines for a long weekend visit! So excited. Darren is a bit of dog whisperer. My little Bogs found her bark today and Darren had a kung-fu way of getting her to settle down. Ceasar Millan - look out, my bro is after your job!
