Day One Hundred and Fifty-Eight: June 7th

This was a really big day in my life. I accepted a Category Manager position at my dream company (Indigo) and resigned from Canadian Tire. It was nervewracking, happy, and sad all wrapped into one. I can't wait to tackle this new opportunity!

Day One Hundred and Fifty-Seven: June 6th

We left the cottage at 9am (it was pouring rain and didn't look like it was going to let up anytime soon) to go home and prep for our dinner party. We had 3 couples come over, 2 have babies. One little lady, Anna, came over and melted my heart. She loves painted nails, purses and shoes and would just point to stuff she liked on you and say "very nice". I could have hugged her forever.

Day One Hundred and Fifty-Six: June 5th

This picture won best photo in last year's Cottage Life photo contest. The kids look really excited to be swimming in the rain - it is super cute. Not super cute was my Saturday. It POURED all day long. It finally cleared at night which was great because we were able to go to the McCabes to hang out. Oh cottage nights - I love you.

Day One Hundred and Fifty-Five: June 4th

It rained during DIY day yesterday but my team wouldn't quit. So we spent approximately 4 hours outside in the cold rainy weather doing car jobs. It sucked and as I result I woke up today feeling really sick. I take Cold FX everyday and it offered no protection against this insane cold. Maybe it's allergies? I don't know but I want it gone from life. Even my daily B12 tablet didn't give me the same pep it normally does!

Day One Hundred and Fifty-Four: June 3rd

I was in Bolton all day today for a team building DIY day. I did a brake job, switched out spark plugs, and replaced headlights. Not my cup of tea in the least but it was educational. Doing car jobs isn't very hard, I think people get scared off too easily. If I can do it, anyone can.

Day One Hundred and Fifty Three: June 2nd

Matching a bright lime dress with appropriate shoes is HARD. I went to Town Shoes and met a wonderfully flamboyant guy who thought the shoes above in gold would be magic. Let's hope he is right!

Day One Hundred and Fifty-Two: June 1st

I'm attending a wedding next weekend (good friends Rob and Lesley) and purchased this dress to wear for it. Do you like it? It definitely is a POW! colour.

Day One Hundred and Fifty-One: May 31st

Lesley P and I went to see "Sex and the City 2" tonight. I loved it. It is super silly and at times severly crosses the line in terms of respecting cultural differences (how can 4 women who seem to own Manhatten be the most narrow-focused travellers in the world?) but all in all a good time.
Best Ladies: Samantha Jones (she's back and she is fabulous) & Miranda (she is such a good friend in this movie, way more fun and funny)
Worst Ladies: Charlotte (I cringed every time she opened her mouth) & Carrie (self-manufactured drama anyone?)
Best Outfit: Miranda at the wedding.
Worst Outfit: Miranda heading to the dunes
Best Shoes: Carrie at the Spice Market, Carrie at the wedding
Best Moment: Liza Manielli at the Wedding...if I was watching this at home, I would have re-watched it over and over. Watch Samantha in the crowd - it will make your life.
Most Touching: Miranda and Brady. Made me misty.
Best Male: Big. He is amazing & Paula Abdul
Worst Male: Anthony & Adian (um...when did Adian's character become the real-life John Corbett? He is gross now and use to be dreamy)

Day One Hundred and Fifty: May 30th

I spent a lot of time sunbathing this weekend and it caught up to me on Sunday. Johnny and Becky stopped by for a few dock hours while I nestled into the shade. Lucky for me, the burn didn't last long and has faded into a tan. Am I some robot - why doesn't SPF 45 work for me?

Day One Hundred and Forty-Nine: May 29th

Big Happy Birthday to Darren!

I celebrated my birthday up at the Cottage. We drank a bottle of champagne by 9am...which set the tone of the day! At night, Scott took me to Teca at Red Leaves. I really recommend it, the food was amazing. Thanks for all the good cheer and here's to old age!

Day One Hundred and Forty-Eight: May 28th

At work today, it felt like grown-up camp. Every year, right before the National Jumpstart day in stores, Canadian Tire head office holds a bbq with events to pump everyone up. Nice way to kill a few hours of the work day - especially considering the weather here won't stop being fantastic!
